NVMe (Non-Volatile Memory Express)
NVMe (Non-Volatile Memory Express) is a protocol for accessing solid state drives connected over a PCI Express bus. It was designed specifically for solid-state memory (SSD) and is intended to provide high performance and low latency data access.
Key NVMe features:
- High data transfer rates: NVMe enables read and write speeds that far exceed the capabilities of SATA SSDs. For example, NVMe can deliver write speeds of up to 3.2 GB/s, which is several times faster than SATA 3.
