ITPOD (ITG Corporation) has added JBOD/JBOF expansion disk racks to its product portfolio

ITPOD (ITG Corporation) announces the expansion of its solution portfolio: the product line now includes JBOF (Just a Bunch Of Flash) and JBOD (Just a Bunch Of Disks) disk expansion units. The new devices allow customers to flexibly scale both the capacity and performance of their infrastructure depending on their current needs.
JBOF arrays are designed for maximum data processing speed and are built exclusively on NVMe solid-state drives. JBOD arrays, on the other hand, are designed to cost-effectively increase capacity using traditional HDDs—an optimal solution for archives, backups, and file servers.
The JBOF-E224N-S (2x2) model features a 19-inch, 2U-high chassis and accommodates 24 NVMe SSDs. The device is equipped with two I/O modules based on the Broadcom PEX89088 switch—each module has 4 400Gb QSFP-DD ports, providing record-breaking throughput.
The rack has been tested with Dapustor and Samsung NVMe drives and supports hot-swapping of drives, controllers, and power supplies without interrupting operation. The JBOF-E224N-S is the ideal choice for high-workload databases, real-time applications, and artificial intelligence tasks.
For planned storage scaling, ITPOD offers the JBOD-E460-D model in a 4U chassis. The rack accommodates up to 60 3.5" SAS drives. Disk zoning is supported to enhance fault tolerance, and the unit features 1Gb Ethernet management ports and six hot-swappable fans.
The JBOD-E460-D is a reliable solution for backup, long-term data storage, and high-density file server deployment.
Both models are now available for order. ITPOD engineers provide full technical support and assistance with integrating the new enclosures into the customer’s existing infrastructure.
